The balloon car was built using a few different technics. As you can see the side bars are simple balloon garlands on ali rod. The rest of the car was built with ali rod and modelling balloons. The biggest problem with this project was building the car in sections that would fit though a standard door way. Access to the venue was limited so we had to build the car off site and assemble and hang it in a morning.
You’ll notice all the wheels are the same size and perfectly round, that bit was easy with a trip to Toys R Us and the purchase of 4 Hula Hoops.
