Sustainable

What part of balloons are sustainable and unsustainable? I would argue that an air filled latex balloon is 100% sustainable and biodegradable – latex found in nature is a milky fluid found in 10% of all flowering plants. Not that you should listen to me, recently a balloon drop was banned and drops are just […]

PVC

I regularly get asked to include PVC balloons in my balloon drops. The problem here is the weight – PVC weighs considerably more than latex. My main concern is if they deflate after the net has been rigged – large sphere when deflated will fall like a brick. Also the nets we use are really […]

London Marathon

I worked on the London Marathon again this year. First things first, this is not my client and never has been – but I’ve worked on this event enough times to blog about it. So I first did it when Mars took over in 1984 (34 years ago). It’s a long time ago and it’s […]

My Passport

Now I’m getting older (I’ve just turned 50) I’ve started to like things like Radiators? I know it’s crazy but you might catch me occasionally looking at one and saying “WOW, look at that”. Particularly exhibit A, this 21 panel radiator has just been installed in our hall. I stood there and looked at it […]

3ft ICC

Here’s some 36″ Purple Violet balloons printed 2 sides & helium filled for the IAAF. These were installed in Hall 3, ICC, Birmingham. Screen printing 36″ can be an expensive process so sometimes we’ll use vinyl graphics if we can. Vinyls save the cost of giant screens, setup and ink.

London Metropole

We decorated The Hilton London Metropole with various cloud shapes on 4 floors & a function room. The event was for a Kraft Heinz conference and we only had a 3 hour window to install. See also: Clouds in Mayfair. The decorations included these bunches printed with 10 logos on 5 colour balloons:

8 Poles

Another arch using 8 poles for Uk Athletics at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham. Here’s last years if you’re interested. 8 Pole arches are too flexible for outdoors but as there’s no wind in the arena it was a rare opportunity to have a play and GO BIG.
