VetPlus

This year VetPlus decided to go all out for their annual party as they’re 20 years old. They booked the whole of Birmingham Town Hall and wanted the stage, reception and downstairs bar decorating. It’s always interesting decorating the town hall where there’s no helium allowed. It’s a spectacular building and you have to respect […]

NISA

This Nisa Local store arch was installed in Oldbury just Half a mile from our shop. I’ve known Rita who runs this store for 20 years as her family owns the Global foods store next to our shop. I installed this on a Friday but all the latex were inflated and attached to the poles […]

The Savoy

500 Balloon drop installed in The Savoy Hotel for a charity fundraising ball, the balloons were released when the charity total hit £1 million raised. The tech guys at the hotel prepared two ceiling hooks for us at 20ft apart. This sounds straight forward but when we attached the net the whole thing was missing […]

Top Print

When balloons are clustered tightly in an arch the only surface left showing is the top of each balloon. When HTC launched their new mobile they required branded arches at several retail outlets in London. We screen printed the top of each 11″ latex so the logo is clear and easily seen. When using this […]

Coca-Cola Print

We’ve supplied Coca-Cola in Gibraltar regularly with their various brands including Life, Diet and Zero. Their standard Coke balloons are a simple 1 colour print on Red but the Zero and Diet are 3 colour. When ordering from across Europe we need at least 7 days to account for a 2 or 3 day carrier.

UK Athletics

Outdoor balloon decorations for the UK Athletics Grand Prix at The Alexander Stadium, Birmingham. Working outdoors with balloons can be difficult when it’s rainy and windy but also the Sun can speed up the balloon oxidising. Darker colours fade faster in the sun but as the UK Athletics colour is Midnight Blue we had to […]

87 Table Decs

This year (2016) we also had 87 tables to decorate. We opted for Holographic Foil Stars, firstly because they look that little bit special but also because they are a more reliable balloon. Recently we’ve been having quality problems with various foil manufactureres and although glittery balloons are more expensive they feel more robust and […]

Billingsgate Market

This balloon drop for the Gazprom Christmas party was hung from the lighting truss at Old Billingsgate Market. This made life easy as the trussing was dropped down to head height and allowed us to hang without scaffolding or ladders. When inflating large numbers of air filled balloons on site we’d always rather work with […]

Wicked

These ‘Wicked’ balloons are printed 2 sides on 12″ Metallic Emerald balloons. We’ve supplied these every Halloween or as milestone events for the long running theatre production in Victoria, London. We also inflate and rig them up in the rafters for that spectacular grand finale drop. The mile stone events include – 5, 6 , 7 […]

What happens when it rains?

This is what happens to an outdoor balloon arch when it really rains. This arch was built with the aeropole system and as water is heavy the poles are not built to carry that much weight. There is a simple solution, use less poles. If you use 4 or 5 poles the arch is substantially […]

99p Stores

99p Stores wanted something special to attract a buzz when they opened they’re 250th store in Northampton. We installing this Yellow & Sapphire air filled arch and built the 250 numbers using Aluminium Rod. The arch is made with air filled balloons on a flexible carbon frame. The 5″ balloons used in the number sculptures were […]

SPAR

SPAR retail promotional arch in Worcester. This was the first occasion we discovered that heavy rain will stop the gaffa tape from sticking to the carbon frame. We used a frame and bases on this one to protect against high winds….. and wet weather. As we were travelling to the store twice in 1 day […]
