Instructions for Organic Half Arch

Balloon Colours: White, Black, Tropical Teal and a few Silver Chrome. Ideally in 5″, 11″, 16″ and a few 36″… but it’s depends what’s available. (I have the stock if you need it – david@balloon.co.uk).

Please supply some Red ribbon to go across the entrance. The staff will handle this – they might need an extra suction pad to go on the glass & attached the ribbon.

Puregym open at 12 midday but it’s nice to have the arches finished for between 9 – 10am

Prep to go in the van (if you have a van):

 
I bend the Ali Rod into an “L’ and cover it in random 11” (underinflated) & 5” (you might have difficulty getting the stock so let me know).
 
I make 2 NOT lamps – 3 poles & 4 poles. I’ve started square packing this bit with 16” & 11” so they slot together.
 
I fill 3 Qualatex plastic bags with 5” duplets (the smaller square bags)
 
 
When I arrive I slot the NOT lamps altogether with line (or 260Qs), slot the rod in, use the Amazon sucky things (3 or 4):

Then… I make clusters of 6 random balloons (with the 3 bags you preped) and force them in the gaps – I use flat 260q to twist them in…. Sometimes the same 260q comes out and I add more to the other end.
 
Be careful… it can start to look like a darlek (Doctor Who) if you only use small balloons.
 
Add some 16” on the top…. Add 3 or 4 x 36” at the end (they have electricity).
 
All frames & bases are considered disposable – Puregym will keep them on display for as long as the weather will allow – and they’ll dispose of them.

If you’re building a PureGym arch for me I’ve probably sent you a link to this page.

The arches are usually over a single door so we use NOT lamps so it’s not necessary to return to collect. The top of the arch can be helium filled or Ali Rod frame and you can Gaffa Tape the arch back to the glass front (unless you have a better solution). On some occasions it’s a double door so it’s best to take extra kit.

Sticky hooks are not allowed.

Setup is usually between 8am to 9am – but on some occasions the openings are after midday so you’re welcome to contact your local Puregym and ask if you can setup later.

Colours: Black, White & Tropical Teal

I think it looks better with more Black as the frontage is mostly Black but you can build it how you like.
