Wicked 13 put on a fantastic night for their anniversary. We did the usual balloon drop and then supplied a balloon wall for the after show press night.
The 2000 drop for wicked 13 was installed at The Apollo Theatre, Victoria and the wall setup in The Park Plaza.
I used vinyl graphics on this wall for the first time. It worked better than printing 3ft balloons and I could place the graphics on the wall after it had been created but I’m not sure how these will work with a really complicated logo. Keeping it simple with nice lettering made it easy.

We had a small access window to create the wall of 1 hour but this is not a problem if we can do some prep? As we were already in town the Park Plaza gave us a hotel room. We created the whole wall and stored it in the bathroom and on the bed.
My freestanding walls require base plates and poles to create a frame. These need collecting after the event and on this occasion locally based Alex Dixon came to the rescue.
Amazing that after lockdown, we returned 2 years later for Wicked 15″
